Children's privacy notice

Last updated: 1 November 2026

This page explains how Honeypetal looks after children's information. The first part is for parents and carers. The second part is written for children, so you can read it together.

For parents and carers

Children don't have accounts

Honeypetal is used by adults. Children don't sign up, don't have their own logins and don't type their details into Honeypetal. You decide what goes in about your child, and you can change or delete it at any time.

What we keep about a child

Only what you add:

We don't ask for a surname, full date of birth, school, address or health information.

Our promises about children's information

Photos and work samples

Work samples are often photos of your child's work, and sometimes your child. They're stored privately and only shared through short-lived links. Think about whether a photo needs to show your child's face, and leave out anything you wouldn't want saved, such as school uniforms or house numbers.

Term reports

Reports are records you create from your own entries. When you download or send a report, it's yours to look after. Share it only with people who need it, such as your home education contact.

Asking about your child's information

Email hello@honeypetal.app to ask what we hold about your child, or to have it corrected or deleted. We'll check that you're a parent or carer on the family account, then reply within 30 days.

If things change

If we ever add features that children use themselves, such as a kids' zone, we'll update this notice first and keep those features switched off unless a parent turns them on.

Read our full Privacy policy for everything else.

For children

Hi! This part is for you.

Your mum, dad or carer uses Honeypetal to plan your lessons and keep track of your learning.
